I never thought that my previous house owner Doctor will be this much cruel. I am using the word cruel here which in my opinion is the suitable word for my feelings. Just now I called her she connected to her engineer husband and he just freeked out at me.

        Me and my wife wife were tenants for them 2 years back and we stayed there for almost 1 year. Never ever did they had any problem from us or we never bothered them in any of the things which they were suppose to address. So there was a nice bonhomie between us and being a gynaecologist this lady becomes our house owner cum doctor for my wife. All those good days passed by and my wife became pregnant. Meanwhile my apartment which I booked got ready. All these things happened in the one year time we spent there. My wifee went to home town for delivery. I started staying there single. House rent was Rs. 3500 with 10 months rent as advance ie 35000.  Rent was paid regularly on the first week of the every month. My wife's brother got job there near to our house. So all the things went according to our comfort. So my BIL shifted from cochin to bangalore and started staying with me. We stayed together for around 3 months and the time came for me to shift to my new apartment. My own apartment. So I handed over the house which was rented in my name to my BIL's name. The owner was more than happy to hear that. But he put forward a condition saying that he will be giving house only to a family. We convince him that BIL is going to get married soon.

I thought let my BIL continue there with the advance I paid and I can get the money when he shifts. He started staying there single and soon he got some of his friends to join him. Days passed by. I became father, life became busier, responsibilities became heavier. Tensions and worries started creeping in. As the house is not in my name now, I never thought of it. House on rent had lot of problem like water leak through cable hole, no steps to reach water tank to clean, doors not been able to close properly and lot of others. They stayed there with the thoughts that all are well. Then the situation started changing. BIL got pissed with bangalore. He again decided to go back to cochin. I thought atalst I am going to get my advance  back. In all my money calculations this advance amount also started getting major importance. Allright , one fine morning BIL left to cochin. He had informed the owner about all the situations and owner has agreed. Within one month others also planned to shift. BIL's friend went to handover the house key.While handing over the key  the owner insisted that according to the agreement there is minimum of 3 months notice and as they are leaving immediately they should pay the m,inimum 2 months rent and other bills like electricity, water etc. And also after two months only the advance amount will be refunded.

Two months went in giffy. By this time every one has left the place and started staying in other houses. One evening I called up Doctor. I was shocked to hear her. She just started bashing me left and right over the phone. I never expected this from her. She started shouting saying that what the hell the people were doing there inside the house. Is that how she had given me the house to stay?. But what?... I have seen the house before they shifted it never was that shabby as she told. Offcourse it was not neat and clean as we expect when bachelors stay. When we started staying there they gave the house without even painting. Now her claim is that she handed over the house in perfect condition and they are going to cut whatever expenditure happens for cleaning and other modifications from the advance amount. And estimated amount for all these activities is around Rs 23000. So literally I will be getting around 10K back. 

Now I am in a funny situation, I cant claim the advance from them as the house rental agreement got changed in my BIL's name. Being my wife's brother I dont think its not nice to put all blame on him and ask him to pay me the amount. And also they guy has shifted to cochin. Is not good in communication never want to talk to them. So I have become an as* **** here.

Teek hey yaar chalega... Let them take money and enjoy the hi-fi life... And you know what some times its a good reminder for the old stories... have you heard of a story of a fox trying to jump and jump to catch grapes and atlast deciding not to jump again BECAUSE THE GRAPES ARE SOUR????....
